The Problem

Some common reasons why customers come to DataXstream

Across industries, distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, retail, and beyond, we hear the same frustrations. Their teams are losing time, deals, and competitive ground because the tools meant to support them are working against them.

Here are some of the core challenges our customers have brought to us.

1.  No Real-Time Visibility

One of the most common pain points we hear about is that sales reps and customer service teams cannot see live order status, inventory levels, or accurate pricing without toggling between multiple systems or waiting on back-office teams. Decisions are made on stale data, leading to errors, missed commitments, and frustrated customers.

2.  Outdated, Hard-to-Use Systems

Another significant struggle for organizations is having to use a legacy SAP GUI, an interface that is difficult to navigate, slow to learn, and not designed for fast-paced sales environments. The result: long onboarding cycles, high error rates, and teams spending more time fighting their tools than serving customers.

3.  Slow, Complex Order Processing

Legacy order management systems often require employees to manually key in order into their ERP system by hand. Processing a sales order, especially a complex one with custom pricing, multiple line items, or special configurations, can take a long time, leading to customer delays. Manual entry also leads to order errors, which can cost companies’ significant  revenue loss.

4.  Disconnected Systems & Manual Workarounds

Front-office tools (POS, CRM, eCommerce) are often not integrated with back-office ERP systems. Teams often have to resort to manual data entry, spreadsheets, and workarounds just to keep operations running, which creates data integrity problems, duplication of effort, and mounting technical debt.

5.  A Fractured Customer Experience

Without unified data and smooth workflows, every customer interaction can feel disjointed. Not having access to real-time master data can hinder cross-sell or upsell opportunities for customer service reps.  Likewise, whether buying online, over the phone, or at the counter, the customer experience is inconsistent without unified data and smooth order processes.  This can damage trust and leaving revenue on the table.

6.  Struggling to Scale with SAP

Another big problem customer have is around technical debt.  Companies investing in SAP S/4HANA need an order management solution that could move with them, not bolt-on tools that require constant maintenance and cannot keep pace as the company scales or migrates to new technology. Growing through new channels, geographies, or business models often exposes the limits of existing setups.
