New agentic AI innovation enhances OMS+ with proactive retention workflows inside SAP
Williamsburg, Virginia— April 14, 2026 — DataXstream, a leading SAP Gold partner and Endorsed app provider focused on complex order management, announced it has earned 2nd place at SAP’s Hack2Build event, a global innovation challenge focused on building AI solutions using SAP BTP and Joule.
During the 7-day competition, DataXstream’s AI team designed and delivered a working prototype of its Churn Risk Agent, an intelligent agent-driven retention solution.
Built on SAP BTP using Joule and deployed via Kyma runtime with containerized machine learning services, the solution brings together fragmented customer signals into a single, guided workflow. It evaluates churn risk, recommends next best actions, retrieves promotional pricing and material availability through OMS+ and generates a draft customer response which enables sales and account teams to act quickly to retain customers.
This innovation advances the OMS+ platform by embedding AI-driven decision making directly into sales execution. Rather than relying on disconnected tools or manual analysis, organizations can identify at-risk customers earlier, prioritize outreach, and execute retention strategies with greater speed and impact.
“Through Hack2Build, we leveraged SAP Joule Studio to quickly create an agent, integrate it with an MCP server, and deploy a suite of tools that enabled churn recognition and retention workflows grounded in system data and contextual business logic,” said John Kane, Senior AI Engineer for DataXstream.
DataXstream plans to further evolve and integrate the Churn Risk Agent capabilities into its OMS+ platform, with deeper, more seamless functionality expected in a future major release. The solution is also planned for availability on the SAP Store as an add-on offering for OMS+.
