DataXstream Presents the Cloud Connect to the NC/VA Chapter of ASUG

A look at the Raceway from the Torque Club.

Not even the 100 degree temperatures and an accidental fire alarm could slow down DataXstream at the June 29, 2012, NC/VA Chapter ASUG meeting.

DataXstream Principal Tim Cooper set the room on fire with his presentation on the DataXstream Quick Connect for SAP Information Interchange OnDemand. Ok, not literally. But a fire alarm did go off during his presentation, sending the attendees of yesterday’s meeting scurrying into the triple-digit heat.

Emergencies and weather aside, a wonderful time was had by all at Richmond International Raceway. Presentations and breakout sessions on diverse subjects such as, making the best use of SAP PI 7.3 and data cleansing kept the members entertained, while the great people of the Richmond International Raceway’s Torque Club, kept us fed and hydrated – with both traditional and “adult” beverages.

But for DataXstream, this day, which culminated with a trip around the race track in a pace car, was about the Quick Connect.

Tim Cooper speaking to the crowd.

“This tool greatly reduces the price and time spent managing your SAP Information Interchange OnDemand system,” said Tim Cooper. This quote, coupled with a graphical representation that showed an 80 percent savings over  traditional implementation and support, struck a note with the crowd.

This revelation, was just a one of many the crowd experienced as Cooper explained the Quick Connect, DataXstream’s managed service for deploying packed integration content for SAP II OD. Cooper continued by explaining the pre-packaged ECC and XI/PI content for mapping and integration of standard SAP II OD interfaces, provided by the Cloud Connect, allows “first-mile” connectivity to the on-premise systems of SAP II OD customers.

The Quick Connect is unlike any product on the market for SAP II OD integration and maintenance, and those who attended the event, found out firsthand.

All in all, it was great day for DataXstream. Thank you to the NC/VA Chapter of ASUG. And, thank you to all of those who attended the event. It was truly a great time.

DataXstream rubbed elbows with some of the most brilliant SAP minds in North Carolina and Virginia, and I think it was only appropriate to do it at Richmond International Raceway, because in the immortal words of Robert Duvall in Days of Thunder – Rubbin, son, is racin’.
